I am personally a huge fan of 311, and own all of their studio albums. Uplifter, which was released on June 2nd, was an eclectic collection of well written and positive vibed songs. From the chill, reggae-inspired guitars of 'It's Alright' to the energetic and heavy instrumental of 'India Ink' to the up-beat, beach boys-esque 'Too Much, Too Fast' (my personal favorite), this album will probably please hardcore fans as well as people who are just being introduced to the band. In my opinion, it is comparable to their previous release 'From Chaos', as far as the overall feeling of the album. It was a major improvement from their prior release 'Don't Tread On Me', and i would recommend it to 311 fans as well as anyone who is trying to discover some great new music.
