The Australian rockers of AC/DC announced their plans to play on Canada stage late this year. AC/DC concert were the headlining act at the Magnetic Hill Music Festival, and all AC/DC concert tickets were sold on immediately that made this AC/DC concert the biggest staged show in Canada for 2009. Another sold-out show followed in Montreal two nights later as 53,000 fans jam-packed Olympic Stadium . AC/DC's Black Ice World Tour has returned to the United State on July 28 in Foxborough, MA at Gillette Stadium. AC/DC started their highly successful Black Ice World Tour in late October 2008, crisscrossing North America and Europe followed by critics all the time. The 'Major Tour of the Year' award was won from the Black Ice World Tour at the 20th Annual Pollstar Concert Industry Awards.
On October 20, 2008, AC/DC published their first new album in over eight years. Black Ice has been certified Double Platinum in the U.S. and its obvious the band is still a great force in rock. AC/DC venture before the general public from 5 years calm on October 26th, 2008. Enthusiastic fans from all over the world went to the small industrial town of Wilkes-Barre, PA to be part of an incredible show. A few select fans were chosen to be joined in a documentary film and to share their personal stories what it means to be a true AC/DC fan over the years.
Black Ice album won first place in 29 countries’ music charts and also has the distinction of being Columbia Records' biggest debut album. Black Ice has been certified Multi Platinum in eight countries, including the Germany, US, Canada, Sweden, Australia, Norway, Switzerland and the Czech Republic.
Additionally Black Ice has awarded Platinum status in twelve countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, UK, Argentina, Singapore and New Zealand) and Gold status in four countries (Netherland, Spain, Poland and Brazil). AC/DC exceeded all expectations and the band have outdone The Beatles as the #1 selling catalog artist in the US for 2008. The group has shipped worldwide over 6.5 million copies of Black Ice and sold over 5.5 million in catalog.
"Anything Goes”, the album's latest single of AC/DC, was filmed at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy in Paris, France on February 27th.
