I'm not a big fan of Pantera. I'm not sure why (I haven't listened to them in a while, so I kind of have forgotten what they sound like) but I think it had to do with them being hyper... Does that sound like Pantera? There was a kid on my track team that liked Pantera a lot, though. Just thought I'd throw that in there.

some people might describe them as hyper....I don't know, I just love them. Ilove the guitar riffs, drum solos, the vocals. Everything about them!
Did the person on the track team make you listen to them? I always hated that about sports with my teams anyway, one or two people would pick the music and it was never stuff I enjoyed.

I love Pantera, especially "Vulgar Display of Power". It was the first metal album I actually enjoyed more than just one song, the whole thing was great. I've always liked Anselmo's vocals and Dimebag's crunchy riffs and screaming harmonics. Great band, glad to see another fan

Good to see another fan. Good album you choose. I just got their greatest hits one and it's great, it comes with a dvd. do you have that?
Have you seen them live? I haven't since I didn't start going to shows until 5 years ago.
anyway g2g

Haven't seen the greatest hits or dvd, although I probably should get it since I don't have a working copy of VDOP anymore, and I do like some of their songs from other albums too. Never seen them live either but would have loved to.

Official KMA metalhead mod checking in. I love Pantera. Vulgar Display of Power was a classic.

Pretty damn killer.

No. He was one time listening to them in his headphones at practice, and he started talking to me about music, and metal. He asked if I had ever heard of them, and I said I had but didn't know any of their stuff, so he let me listen to them.

What you describe happened all the time in basketball, though. Our warmup tape would always have the worst rap or r&b songs, which I hate. My senior year we had good songs, but none of the other years.

Dug 'em, saw them live 4 times.

When Phil was halfway sober they had good shows.

When he was crocked, not so much.

haha on your post theres abunch of black sabbath songs and I had the craziest dream last night.

I went to some concert thing for school and I got my picture taken with the guitarist and then he told me to come hang with the band and stuff after I asked if they were going to play at ozzfest and he said ya they got a new singer. anyway, it was pretty cool and I ended meeting the band and had a fling with the guitarist...anyway it was weird...but the band was young and I was still 19( my current age)
but it was cool...

wiiii, I always miss the metal topics. Pantera is quite good, but not one of my faves. I´m more in the folk/ symphonic and power metal section.
