Recently, well actually it's been awhile now but I've been listening to some bands like XTC, and Oingo Boingo (Danny Elfman's band.) These are like 80s new wave bands, just wondering if anybody has heard of them or knows any other bands that sounds like them

XTC is a fabulous band. One of the best from that period. I'd recommend, if you haven't heard, Talking Heads and China Crisis. Two other brilliant bands from that time span.

Cut Copy are anewer band with a very 80s sound and they are fantastic. They just had a new album come out not too long ago called Zonoscope.

Another 80's band that I would call a darker, moodier XTC is THE THE. They are hard to look up on Google.

But the lead singer is Matt Johnson if it helps.
