Well, that is very strange. I must be doing something incorrect, or else technology just likes to play games with me, because when I recorded no way was I that off, and when I listened to it it sounded fine with the song. Very, very strange...

Quoting Post #21... which includes "backingtrack-bassdrumsmidi.mp3" as an attachment for you.

So that's the one to use. Basically I'll remix a new backing track for each round of recording and post it, and say who's next in line to record to it.

As for Cross Eyed Mary, I'm still waiting on Bent to give us a copy of the drums, the one he posted got cut off somehow.

It must be your download that got corrupted at 2:43...

I just clicked on the posted link and it played through its entirety to 4:15... ???? Try re-downlading the link and see what happens... ???

Ahh, I think you're right, Bent. I clicked the link a couple more times and it seemed to be resuming a download already halfway done. Even when I cancelled and cleared it, it did the same. I tried one more time by right clicking and "save as" and it's working now. I'll have a bass-midi-drums backing track ready for rhythm guitar in a few hours.

Ok, great job on Mary so far guys! I've just mixed a backing track which has the midi, drums, and bass. The attached file is the backing track to use when recording guitars. So Noname, we're ready for guitars on Mary now too.

hahaha that made me actually lol. I bet you have the same problem I do. If Im not recording it seems like I just relax and just play whatever it is im playing, but as soon as I start recording I think to much about it and inject alot of four letter words to my recordings where there should have been no vocals

how the overall tone sounding? I've got a very very good vintagey sound out of my Laney Pro Tube (EL34-powered 100w all tube Marshall Eating machine fullstack)

Yes. . .a 100w All-Tube Laney FULL stack in my room.

"What do the neighbors say???"

I dunno, I never hear 'em!

Musicman, do you want me to make all the guitars one track?

or would you prefer the Electric guitars and the acousticy-clean-strummy to be seperate tracks, for volume editing?

It would be nice to have them seperate for mixing. Tone sounds good to me, I LOL'd too, I cuss like a drunken sailor when I record.

Ok, cool, then you may have the intro guitar riffs:

This is all the way up until 1:10 or so, whenever the acousticy-strummy part starts.

EDIT: ok, I can only upload files that are 9mb or less. My recording is 25MB (its in an uncompressed WAV format)

Is it alright If I compress it a bit?

Umm, that's only 50 bytes and probably not a valid file. Please save it as a 192-256kb/sec mp3 or ogg (ogg preferred), and when you select the file to upload, make sure you don't post your post until the attachment shows as completely uploaded.

Oh and I need entire tracks of each instrument. For instance if one song has a part at the beginning and a part at the end with acoustic strumming, but nothing in the middle, record it all at the same time and upload it as one track, not two seperate files.

I can't do this.

I'm really sorry to have fucked around and wasted your time, but you're gonna have to find someone else to do the guitar parts. I'm pissed at my recording equipment, Im fed up with the goddamn Cool Edit Pro, Just trying to get the main riff recorded down was so rediculously hard. Its gotten to the point where this project is no longer fun anymore, it went past fun along time ago, to annoying, and now to the point of being flat out sickening.

I'm very sorry. The Guitar parts are up for grabs.

Well, I believe Juxstapoz might be doing the guitars, he PM'd me a few days ago. If you guys who have other parts want to go ahead and record like Reason's Gurl did, go for it, just use the backing track I posted in reply #57.

Eagerly awaiting to listen. I have made myself avoid all the in between pieces cause I only want to hear the finished piece. But, ya'll remember I am old and only have fifty or a hundred years left now.

Also, if he fails, I suppose I could try. It wouldn't be that great and there's no chance in hell I could get the solo, but its open as a last resort.
