Well you have to admit, there is a lot of shit in the music industry these days. IMO there are very few artists worth listening to anymore, but hey every year has it's good albums. What do you think were the best albums of '06?

Audioslave- Revelations: Well what can I say, it's Audioslave. It's a lot less heavy as their other albums, but still great. Awesome riffs, lyrics and singing as usual.

Black Stone Cherry- Black Stone Cherry: Their first album, and it's awesome. Great lyrics and riffs, with blistering guitar solos, BSC is bringing back heavy metal.

Iron Maiden- A Matter Of Life And Death: After a rather dissappointing album, Maiden is back in full force with A Matter Of Life And Death. Everything you love about Maiden is in the album, Bruces singing is still awesome. Although it sounds like he strains his voice a lot, it they are still awesome as ever.

What were your favorite albums of '06

I agree with "A Matter Of Life And Death". It's a great album and an extremely pleasant comeback from Steve Harris & co. As you say, Bruce Dickinson makes a huge contribution on this album. The difference between him and Paul Di'Anno and Blaze Bayley is enormous. Dickinson is quality, the other two are shiite.

I haven't heard the two other albums you mention, but I've heard good things about both of them. I would like to nominate 'The Eraser' by Thom Yorke, and I know that a lot of people here will agree with that pick!

As a fan of Johnny Cash, I also liked this year's collaboration with Rick Rubin, American V: A Hundred Highways.

Probably some more, but my head isn't on my side this day.

Armin Van Buuren - State of Trance 2006

I don't know if I've listened to any albums from 2006... I like that Snow Patrol album (you know, that one that EVERYBODY likes ) which was probably this year.

The only album that I listen to that came out this year that I really enjoy is "The Open Door" by Evanescence. I liked the first album, but it really wasn't a big deal. But this album I think they did an awesome job on.

I think I'd probably like the Tool album if I ever took the time to go buy it. I've been meaning to, I just haven't done it yet.

It's the most Crushingly heavy work they've done, so be careful.

Thom Yorke - The Eraser

Hands down the best album of the year. I was hoping Radiohead would release LP7 this year because it would probably be the best of 2006, but it looks like it'll probably be in contention for next year's prize.

A Twist in the Myth by Blind Guardian. Yes it's really subjective, but that was one heck of a cd.
