What is, in your opinion, the best Country or State or Town of the world ?

You can answer anything but your own country/state/town. And please, don't be too patriotic !

I'd say Spain looks like a great country to live in. I used to spend all my summers down there, going from town to town with my family, and I got a lot of good memories

Finland looks like a great place too, but it would be more about raising a family there than having a lot of fun.

If all the cliches about California (blue sky, sunny days, it never rains, good-looking girls, etc.) are true, well then it seems like it's definitely the best state of the US in my based-on-silly-stereotypes opinion.

The best town in my opinion is Paris... what ? come on, it's not my city and I'm not being too patriotic !
This is simply because I know this city more than any foreign city I've visited so far, and I liked it a lot.

What about you ?

Hmmm...

Best Country... Maybe Greenland. It seems like some place where you could just go and people would leave you alone.

State: Probably Washington. There's Seattle on one end if you want a big city, Spokane on the west if you want a city with a small town feel, and tons of wilderness in between.

Town: Hong Kong. Rediculously free-market economics right thar. Although that might be changing.

Best Country: Nederland. Kloppakloppakloppa

Best State: Washington, for the reasons Aqualung stated.

Best City: I have to say Puyallup. We have the fair, and my house. That is the best.

Country- always thought it would be cool to go somewhere around the Lake Geneva area- maybe on the northern Italy side.
Fell in love with the Quebec area of Canada.. but 16 feet of snow in a year might be a bit too much for me to deal with.
State- New Hampshire- mountains, wilderness, ocean, small cities, only about an hour's drive to Boston or Maine or almost aything- no sales tax (BIG PLUS) - but right now there are no jobs, lots of snow and ice, housing is wayyyy too much and property taxes are astronomical. (like 6-10 thousand bucks a year for an average-size house) ..hence why I moved south-but God knows I miss it!

Washington state..isn't that some of the area Sasquatch lives in? (yes, joking- but somewhat serious- I'm a big fan of Bigfoot)

It's kind of a personal joke. One time my girlfriend, her mom and I were all really drunk and she and her mom begin speaking Dutch to eachother, and it sounded kind of like kloppakloppakloppa (like how Russian just sounds like Borsha and Swedish sounds like Borka), so I blurted that out, and my girlfriend goes "Hey, that sounds like Dutch! Ohh.....).

So it's official, at least when drunk. Dutch sounds like Kloppa.

Country: Norway

State: Washington

Town: Norman, Oklahoma - even though Oklahoma is a miserable place, Norman is a highlight. I'm sure I'd pick another town though if I hadn't spent my entire life in this state though. But Norman is a pretty cool place at times.

Unfortunately, Greenland is infact barren and covered in ice.

In opinion the best country is United States of America, but another one I would want to go to is Ireland, I am very Irish.

State: Illinois Mag and I live there, so it makes it bad ass.

Town: Don't have a opinion

Woot!

Country: Germany is a place I've heard really cool things about, though I've also heard they're really, really strict on violence in entertainment. That would be an interesting experience, to be honest.

State: South Carolina. I lived there and LOVED it. I wanna go back there as soon as possible. Beaches, friendly people, damn good food...

City: Charleston, SC. Same reasons as above.

I am kind of in between places that I can call home for now. I am living in Norway until about september, at which point i have to return to Canada.

Considering these are the only two places I have ever lived, it is hard for me to say a place in the world that is the best. Ilike northern Canada, I like the west coast of North America, I like the french part of Canada, I like Norway, I like the Rocky Mountains.

Country: Well, I'd say Australia or Brazil but I haven't visited either of them, so who knows? I will though, someday. I quite like the sound of Italy too and I'm going there next summer.

State: In America? The only one I've seen is Florida. I really don't know... I'm gonna say Hawaii.

City/Town: This isn't a city or a town, but I went to Snowdonia in Wales last summer and that's a really nice area. York is nice too. Maybe Rome...

Snowdonia is where Led Zeppelin went on "retreat" to write a large portion of what became their 3rd and 4th albums- including "Stairway to Heaven".
I saw a few shots of some nice wooded areas on a Page and Plant unplugged video and it really looks beautiful..I miss nice lush forests- nothing like that in North carolina- at least nothing I have yet to see!

I'd like to live somewhere with a stream and woodland in my back garden. I love streams and there were loads in Snowdonia. They've got hundreds of adventure course type places with canoeing and high rope courses and such. In one brochure I read about 'coasteering' which I'd love to try. It's like climbing but around cliff faces on the coast going across not up, and then at certain points you jump into the sea for a swim.
