I've made a new song once again! It's a one-chord blues-rock piece called "Steeds Of Steel" and, as the title suggests, it's a "biker" song (like Steppenwolf's "Born To Be Wild" and Saxon's "Stallions Of The Highway" and such)... but not your average biker song. Here are the lyrics:

-Verse 1
Both feet on the throttle, wind blowing through my hair
Riding wild and free in the open air
Flying down the road on two narrow little wheels
I don't need an engine, I have my steed of steel

-Chorus
You'd better be careful what you say
'Cause our steeds of steel are coming your way
Don't go brag about your rolling machine of death
'Cause we'll meet not on the motorway but on the cycle path

-Verse 2
You can drive a motorcycle or a car and think you're cool
But the truth is, we're the tough guys and not you silly fools
'Cause our steeds of steel, we power them ourselves
We don't need power from anything else

-Repeat Chorus

-Solo

-Verse 3
Cyclists, men of honour, men of pride
It's not just for good fun that we ride
We ride to show the world that we're alive
No-one can take our soul, nor take our jive

Notes:
-The piano track represents the vocals.
-As usual, I couldn't get the timing and melody of the "vocal" track exactly as I wanted them to be.
-The drum track is a bit sober, because I was too lazy and too impatient to write lots of fills.
-I've attached a zipped folder containing the Guitar Pro file, so that people with GP5 can see exactly how the piece is built up.

So, what do you think?

Are you playing all the instruments in this? i hear drums, keyboard and some other instruments.

I thin you did a great job on the keyboards because the beat is great and it all mixes together very well. Why are the lyrics not in the song?

Anyway, that's very good. You're really good at writing this style of music with complexity and depth. As somebody who very much enjoys the motorcycle culture, I really like the lyrics a lot, especially the chorus and verse 2. I also think the drum track sounded fine without any fills or anything, because the other instruments were complex enough as it was.

No, these aren't real instruments. I created it with a computer program called Guitar Pro 5. All I did was make the sheet music and adjust certain parameters, and the program made a sound file out of it. And since there is no speech generator in the program, the lyrics aren't heard.

I could, of course, have recorded this piece on my keyboard, but since that is a recipe for crappy sound quality (especially for the drums) and inconsistent timing, I preferred making it this way.

Alright, I comment as I listen, so its what I think at the moment.

Steeds of Steel

-Cool, kinda funky guitar intro.
-Even though you cant hear the singing, you can feel it. Very good job
-All the layers make it sound complete.
-At 1:48-2:02 the "solo" sounded very good
-It blending perfectly back into the song

Great job, even though it was midi, it got the point across very well.
