Haunting and beautiful, sad and intense. The song for broken hearted lovers with the lyrics "world was on fire, no one could save me but you," so profound and such a rich vocal style. Awesome band to see live to if you ever have the chance.

I've always been drawn to that song too. The video is just gorgeous, Helena Christensen half naked by the ocean, and shot in black and white . And even without the great video, the song is indeed a masterpiece, at least in my opinion. Great instrumental performances, great writing, and a great voice. Best song of all time? - Probably not, but definitely very good and very memorable.

I saw the band live a few years back in London, first time they played the UK in 12 years. They were amazing. They played for two and a half hours and really pulled all the stops out. Chris Isaak is a fantastic vocalist and fantastic performer. Apparently when they were the warm up act for Tina Turner during the 80s he used to tell all of Turner's jokes before she came onto perform.... very funny!!
