Has anyone seen this years DCI tourtament. I missed it because I was gone at band camp. I love watching DCI, Expecially the year the Calviers did the "Green Machine" and the Cadets version of "Malaguena" The trumpet solo was really cool! This year in my band - show season we are performing "Fanfare of the third Planet" "Into the Light" and a drum feature "Four of a Kind" It is pretty fun. Any one here in marching band?

DCI stands for Drum Core International. It is a group of a hundred college marching bands that perform from all over. It it actually very fun!

Go Red Raiders! I'm in my high school's marching band, and I'm so close to DCI I was in the stands! I was at the one in July, 09. Pretty amazing. I love Carolina Crown, but then again, I'm from Carolina.

For our half time this year, we're taking three concert band pieces and putting them on the field, arranged for us specifically. I had a hand in arranging the show. The first movement is "Chant and Jubilo" Arranged by myself and our Director. The 2nd is "On a Hymsong of Philip Bliss" Arr. by myself and our director. And the 3rd is "Fate of the Gods" left musically as is.

Get someone's parents or friends to come videotape you and put it up on youtube. If nobody jumps at the opportunity, offer to give them a few bucks or something.
