I know, I wrote a thread like this not long ago, but it has disappeared. So I'll write it again.

Embedding Youtube videos is a way to allow members to view Youtube videos in site. It's like a very fancy link.

Let's say, for some reason, you want to show everybody the Airplane! trailer that's on Youtube. You could post the link http://youtube.com/watch?v=q3rXK7NhWN8, but instead, you want to make it more convenient for everybody. So what do you do? Embed! Notice that in your link there is an "=" followed by some letters and numbers. Copy those letters and numbers and paste them between [youtube] tags. Like this:

[youtube]q3rXK7NhWN8[/youtube]

That will allow the video to be viewed in the post rather than offsite. Note: You're pasting part of the URL between the youtube tags - you're not using Youtube's HTML embed code. If you use that, it won't work. Also, you're only using a specific part of the URL, not the whole thing.
