I've only just started listening to emo recently, so I don't really any favourites currently (actually, I can't even think of any at the moment; that's how new I am to it).

Are Mcr and fob abreviations, or the full names? I've never heard of either of those.

MCR=My Chemical Romance
FOB=Fallout Boy

....And I do on occasion listen to Hawthorne Heights, Panic! At the Disco(one of my top ten bands), My Chemical Romance(started out good.....got crappy with their second to last album....then saved themselves with Welcome to the Black Parade) and Atreyu. Although, many bands people consider "emo" bands can really be placed under post-hardcore or pop-punk. Emo is a very limited genre.

Most here know that I'm not a fan of emo sheep all doing the same thing. I just don't like bubble gum pop punk with whiney vocals, it's so watered down and everyone sounds the same IMO. But there is a couple bands that I really like that I'm sure a few people would consider emo.... Coldplay and Bright Eyes. But they're more what I consider emo because of the songwriting, not just because of the f'n clothes they wear or which direction they slash their wrists or whatever.

Never heard of Bright Eyes, but I like Coldplay... are you sure they're emo?... Then we'd actually have to say we like Emo... I'm not sure I'm down with that Mr. Man...

Blayzeh would be the only one left. Not to mention the beatings we'd take on National beat an Emo day.

I've heard freshly baked croissants make great body armour.

I share your fears. To me they aren't, but they are kinda emotional music so I don't know. And yes, croissants get the job done but poppy seed bagels are a much better choice IMO. Just don't eat your armor if you have any upcoming drug tests scheduled. False positive for the loss.

We here at KMA Bagels believe that any bakery worth it's salt uses unwashed seeds.

KMA bagels... for that extra special snack.

I rather dislike emo music. It comes off as rather whiney usually.

Although, to be fair, Coldplay and Bright Eyes are alright. Not my style, but I don't mind them.

Yes! Now THATS emo. Like I said in my post, many of today's "emo" artists arent technically "emo" but fall into that genre because pre-teens think it's cool. Dinosaur Jr ftw.

It's all hardcore to me...

which is, sadly, not my ticket to enjoying music. And, yes, I AM getting pretty tired of the lyrics.

I wish I could name a band in particular, but I'll just be scolded for mentioning MCR, Fallout Boy, and other ones.

...

I am the night! *flies off*

OK,
Coldplay just happens to rhyme with gay. Maybe it really is just a coincidence.
