Hi everybody.

I was hoping to get some feedback from you on my new band, Painted By The Bricks. There were recorded in a small studio, so it's nothing big and fancy. I play bass on the recordings, but i'm not all that good.

We'll upload some more songs soon, though they'll be a little more.. rock..
So tell me what you think! I welcome all feedback.

Thanks!

I REALLY like that! That (Hurricane) is one of my favourite songs that anybody has uploaded here before. The other one is really good, too - I like that lead work at the beginning of the song. As for the bass playing, it's nothing too innovative, but you are good at keeping in time and your bass part definitely fits in with the song, so you've got nothing to worry about. But, at 1:31 on the second song, when the singer goes "oh!", the voice clips. Either the singer sang it too loud for the microphone, or it was mixed too loud.

Oh cool.. As i said, we didn't spend oceans of time recording this, so it's not perfect. But great man.. Great!
Any feedback is good feedback.. But that^ kind of feedback is always nice to get!

Well, Hurricane sounds nice. It's the style of music easy to listen to, and sure I'd like to have this kind of thing on our radios, instead of the usual top40 thing, it is well written and performed (I just noticed a small glitch from the singer during 2 seconds, close to the end).

I prefer the second track, since it's a bit more rocky, but again, singer's glitches are a bit more noticeable there, when he tries to sing higher.

So, I'd say good job, but there is room for improvement

Alright. Well I comment as I go along, so its what I think right at the moment.

Hurricanes

-Nice bass intro!
-Kind of a classical, jazzy feel
-Very jazzy, soft rock feel, with the singing
-The bass is actually really good, very thought out.
-At 1:19, it really breaks out. Very catchy
-Then nice slow down, and bass.
-Nice mini solo, fills very well.
-The lyrics tell a story, and its a very good story.
-Damn, that chorus is catchy.
-The guitarist is pretty good, after 3:00, he really shows his stuff.

Very good job guys, and Shav, I would say the way you put your bass riffs/notes together you remind me very much of Geddy Lee.

From the Ashes

-Much more classic rock feel.
-The bass/vocals structure remind me of The Police.
-Again very catchy Chorus, I love the 'Rise Above the Ashes' part
-Great idea with the quick in/out of the guitar
-You guys have 2 guitarists? (not counting bass)
-The vocals at 2:40/3:24, had lots of Reverb
-Amazing, at 3:00, amazing.

I loved this one very much. Keep it up, it was amazing.

I don't have much to add to what the others have said except that I really like both tunes. You guys are pretty tight and I would add you to my regular playlist.

Hurricanes-I agree with Neverlife that the bass in hurricanes is awsome. Your drummer also has very nice tempo. Singing and lyrics go perfect with the song. While listening to the song I realized I could here every part of the song. The bass was clear, singing stood out, guitar was very nice volumed. Nothing was too over powering or too soft.

From the Ashes-I felt this track was more of a rock vibe. I dont know what it is, but your singer is awsome! Do you have two guitar players? I here chords and a lead. Once again just like Hurricanes, nothing is overpowering or too soft.

Great job on both songs, I like From the Ashes better though.

Thanks. Yeah, we have two guitar players - we are five members in total.
I'm really glad you all like it!
