I guess the first music I ever actually remember hearing was John Lennon's Double Fantasy album which my dad played on his record player. I remember "Watching the Wheels", "Woman", and "Just Like Starting Over" and enjoying them when I was probably 3 or 4. Wow I'm getting old
![]() I also remember every kid I knew had their birthday parties at Showbiz Pizza or at least I think that was the name of it. They had animated robotic characters on a stage which would perform songs and this huge bear named Billy Bob was like the lead singer. And to a 4-5 year old watching that show was fascinating. I always wondered what kind of wizardry could turn a bear tame and make him entertain kids....but I digress.... Their showstopper tune was "Do You Love Me". Everybody went nuts when that song came on, and it was so popular that anyone having a birthday party there would get a 45 record single of that song to take home. So I played that record on my Fisher Price red, yellow, green, and blue record player until it nearly melted. So that was another big song in my childhood. Oh and I cannot leave out the theme to The Neverending Story. Holy shit that song is like cocaine, you can't get enough of it. ![]()

I remember liking "The Mouse Police Sleeps" by Jethro Tull. I really liked it because of how at the end it has that echo of "Sleeps the mouse" and then the coughing. At that same period of time, I really liked a bunch of Proclaimers songs, mostly because of how they said things. Most notably: "Cap in Hand" because he said "I can tell the difference between margarine and butter" which I thought was hilarious; "Sunshine on Leith", because it used the word "mended". BUt, really, I thought all the songs were really funny when I was little.

Either Gypsys, Tramps and Thieves by Cher - I remember dancing around with tinsel to that at Christmas when I was about 5 - or Bring It All Back - S Club 7. Yea I know, not the greatest taste in music. According to my baby book, my favourite song was Nellie the Elephant. I don't remember that far back though.
