Growing Dreams

Hey Guys,

here's a brand new song of mine : Growing Dreams. Those who know me, probably know that I'm a big psychedelic music fan, so this song is really REALLY influenced by the psychedelic bands I listen to.
Anyway, I hope you'll all like it, all the more than I spent over 2 hours trying to make everything sound the best way possible (which is a pretty long time, considering that I usually do everything in less than 1 hour), although it's a short song. Hear it by yourself.

Man, this song is almost perfect! The vocal harmonies are definitely fleshing out into a more obviously psychedelic sound. You're really gotten a lot better during your summer hiatus away from the forums!

I dunno bout psycadelic... It sounds more like hobbits singing folk music... It's good, just wiered.

I've just made an alternate version mixing things in a different way, so that it sounds better. I also added 3 voices to back up the vocal harmonies. Here it is if you want more

And LOL Baphomet, it feels funny to be compared to a bunch of hobbits

Sounds good! I didn't notice the "bum bum bum bum" at the beginning the first time I listened, but it sounds a little out of place. Though that might just be because I don't really listen to psychedelic music often.

No, it is out of place... I just can't remove it because if I do so, I have to remove the first 2 words I say when it all starts

I agree you definitely have the psychadelic sound down.

You are continuously growing as a writer, everytime I hear another track I am more impressed.

All of your tracks have that weird, but very catchy quality.

Thank you so much ! And not only for your kind words, but for the bands you told me about some months ago ! They are the ones that really got me into Psychedelic Music, and now here I am, always looking for more bands to listen to...
For instance, if I hadn't bought the 2 first albums of The Electric Prunes after you told me about them, I wouldn't have bought The Blues Magoos. If I hadn't bought The Blues Magoos, I wouldn't have bought Kaleidoscope. If I hadn't bought Kaleidoscope, I wouldn't have bought The Comfortable Chair.
If I had not listened to The Comfortable Chair's amazing songs, I wouldn't have been so inspired to write the songs I posted lately.
So you know what I'm saying ? You are the beginning of everything, and that's why I want to thank you so much

You definately have a unique kind of style in your work. As obscure as it may sound, it's quite catchy. I do like a lot of the harmony vocals, I can appreciate the simplicity in their melody. I do have a question though, what kind of effect do you have on the lead vocal? Something about it sounds a little buzzy. Though if thats what you were going for, it should be kept of course.

Well, there are no effects on the lead vocal... It's just that I record my songs thanks to a webcam microphone, so it's like recording LO-FI, and that's what make sound everything buzzy... I'm sorry, I know it sucks
