My guitar isnt as extensive or as cool as some of you but I have a few.

I have a Ibanez RG Bass
I first got into guitar on bass because a friend of mine needed a bass player and I said I would learn.

My next purchase a crappy little flamenco guitar that served me well during my learning stage.

I then got a MX Fender Strat knockoff. It was cheap but not nasty, i got really great sound out of that thing.

I have a Takamine semi-acoustic. i cant remember the model but it sounds sweet as.

But my last purchase and my new baby is a 1995 Fender Strat. Black and White. I love it.

I'm glad yours sounds as good as mine. There's something special about those Yamaha FG-230 guitars, maybe it's like a fine wine and has just gotten better with age.

Nice collection

Yup, wood does age with time, the vibrations of the wood increase the richness of the sound. Ask any violin player.

Not only that, but a fine choice of woods is crucial. Mahogany back, sides, and neck give it a very warm tone, and the Cedar top (I think its cedar, might be spruce) is a midrangey wood, so it has nice highs and its very warm as well, so its just a good balance all around.

Im sold on this Mahogany stuff, Next acoustic im buying: Mahogany back and neck w/ Cedar top man.

LOL! It is pretty big. I actually hate the way it looks. Gibson definitely makes good guitars, though. If I played guitar, I would definitely be playing gibson. I don't know how old it is, but he bought it when he was taking lessons, which I seem to think was late 70s/early 80s or thereabouts.

Currently i have a 1960 Reissue Les Paul Cherry burst, absolutely stunning finish, and a Jackson USA RR-1. The most amazing neck i've every had the pleasure to play on.
