I am Travis. I have been writing music since I was 12 and have never possessed the money or hook ups to get a nice recording. Uh, I would like you to listen to my music? Check it out... My main influences are Neil Young, Bob Dylan, The Beach Boys, Neutral Milk Hotel, M. Ward...many more.
www.myspace.com/greatwhitehorse I am just now beginning to grasp some music theory so bear with it all. Thank you for listening if you take the time, and I love anyone who enjoys it. |

Hi
Well for starters, you've got some ledgendary idols. I can hear the influences in your music. Guitarsound is actually ok. Your guitarplaying aswell. But the overall sound of the recordings are not that good actually. And i would like to shoot in that you don't need massive amounts of money to make a decent homestudio. Buy quality, small rigs. You don't need 1000 inputs for home recording. Just a good mixer, good computer software and read some books on mixing. Keep it up Travis! |

Thank you for the feedback, and I know the recordings aren't that great.
I'm leaving for the marines in a month so once I get on a payroll i'm going to invest in some stuff, but for right now i'm only 18 so I deal with audacity and a monitor mic on my laptop, lol. Once again, thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate you taking the time to listen to me. |
