Hey everyone! I was chatting with MusicMan earlier so I figured I would check in and update everyone with my recent events.
Those of you who have been around long enough might remember me as the mod of Other Instrument Discussion. I see that everything has changed since I've taken time to really look into things here. It looks like everyone is doing well and the site looks great. I was informed of the awesome traffic and content KMA has been getting. As you may or may not know, today is my birthday! So I've been doing birthday stuff all day. Swimming has been taking over my life. Three weeks ago I represented my high school at the Eastern Region Championship Meet. I was one of three individual swimmers from my school and in two relays. I dropped 10 seconds off my seed time in the 500 freestyle and broke my school record by 9 seconds. Those of you who know swimming or can google it know that 5:45 for 500 yards isn't gold medal at the Olympics, but almost no one before me at my school has swam this event. I unsuccessfully tried out for the varsity soccer team last week. I hadn't played since last season and I hadn't ran since August so I saw it coming. That just means swimming can take more of my time. School is boring as ever. AP US History, Precalc, Psychology, and Keyboarding... going from hard to VERY HARD to easy to easy gets old. Anyways, long story short for those of you who don't want to read, swimming, soccer, and school the story of my life. I just hope everyone is doing well and all the n00bs feel at home. This is still a great site and better than when I left it. Congrats to you MusicMan, everything seems to be going swimmingly. Good luck to everyone and I hope this site keeps getting better. Sincerely, DubC444 |

Hey, DubC! Great to see you again!! Happy birthday!
Congratulations on your swimming record! That's quite an accomplish, and I'm very happy for you. How long have you been swimming for your school? You only have 4 classes? How did you manage that? ![]() |

Block scheduling, we go to 4 classes for an hour and a half each. It's like the elevator business, it has its ups and downs. |

Oh, cool. We had sort of a block schedule when I was in high school, but we went to 4 classes one day and 4 the next. The administration at our school was kind of weird...

Hey Dub! I enjoyed talking with you earlier and glad to hear everything is going good.
![]() I didn't make a birthday thread because I didn't know if you had time to visit us anymore, so I hope our AIM convo and this thread let you know we're happy to have you here and wish you a happy B-day. If you get bored with Psychology or Keyboarding just play mindgames with your psych teacher or complain to your typing instructor about your keyboard being funky (after you've popped the keys off and rearranged them) ![]() Keep in touch and come visit us when you're not busy breaking school swimming records. ![]()
