K here is the problem. I am one of those people that somehow just get behind in school work. Then I never get it done and it builds up. I right now have all Cs one D and a F on my Progress report. So there was this parent teacher confrence the day before spring break, and my parents gathererd all the late work from my locker. Now I have a fucking huge pile that I need to finish by monday, and guess what? Half the crap I dont remember how to do, like this one study guide. I dont remember because it was from a month ago, but I have to do it and I AM FUCKING FREAKING OUT!!! I have punched three holes in the wall, I am trebling as we speak, I am angry as hell and want to kill someone, and I cant get the work done because I dont know how to do it. Help (Before I go get my fathers gun and kill myself).

I'm pretty sure people will have a really tough time helping you if they don't even know what you need help with.

Make a plan of attack. Do X number of assignments before dinner tonight, and X number after. Do the same tomorrow night. Divy the assignments up so you're spending roughly the same amount of time on homework for each block of time. You've got five whole days - if you spread it out it should look like a more reasonable amount of homework.
Then, it's imperative that you STICK TO THE PLAN! I can't stress that enough. Don't watch TV or play your bass or post on KMA until you've finished your block of homework. If you put off your homework instead (spending your time with other things), you'll find that on Sunday night you still have a ton of homework to do and you'll get even more stressed. Not to mention that the thought of homework will be in your mind all week and you won't be able to concentrate very well on anything else that you want to do. |

Breathe. Start on whatever's easiest, what you know you can do. For getting help with what you're stuck on - try friends, the internet, textbooks, teachers if you're in school this week or maybe ask here. (Just so long as you stay focused and don't get distracted whilst doing any of this). Also, unplug the TV, the computer if you don't need it and any other distractions. Write a list of what you need to do and then check each thing off as you've done it. Maybe each time you've finished an assignment, you could reward yourself with chocolate or whatever. The most important part is just avoiding procrastinating.
I wish I could follow my own advice.... |

And...relax.
It's homework, and unless your homework has anything to do with rebuilding the interior of the house or first aid, punching holes in the walls or your face won't help. Focus on what you need to do, work to achieve what you need to, and remember this next time you're ready to toss your stuff in the back of your locker and put it off until later. |

I'm actually employed as a tutor. So, if you really want the help, sure, I'll do you a favor. You'll owe me one, but its okay I know how it is. So toss me an e-mail or a private message and we can discuss. Perhaps we can get on a messenger service. My preference is MSN. If its a lot of work (teaching or doing for you), we can arrange something through paypal. Otherwise, I'll be happy to give you some assistance. Eko R. |
