your singing isnt to bad, you do sound a tiny bit nervous though, are you just using a cheap mic cause your voice is a bit low in the mix of those songs, not to bad an effort though, i guess it takes some guts to put your voice out on the internet for total strangers to hear... to answer your question about lessons, really anyone can be a good singer if they got lessons and practice, i think that everyone can sing, its a natural ability, its just a matter of fine tuning it a little bit, personally though i dont want to get lessons, no matter how bad people think i am cause i find the voice keeps its personality that way, but thats just me

anyway, its a good start, keep practicing and posting and we can watch you improve

p.s. beatles rock

Yeah, I agree with Coker - you sounded a bit nervous. Other than that, though, it was good. Practicing and singing whenever you can in front of whomever will make it so you're less nervous when it comes time to record and you can do better. Thanks for sharing them with us! You and v8 could create a duo Beatles tribute band.

To answer Coker's question, it is a pretty cheap mic Lol but I don't think it really makes too much of a difference considering I do have a rather low voice. Haha! Thanks so much for your opinions they are very much appreciated ^_^

Singing is 75% about tone in my humble opinion (ahem). Mine is average, yours is cool - you would espech suit country style songs, or stuff by Sheryl Crowe or The Waifs. You have a very similar tone to Sara Storer, who is a pretty big name in the Australian country scene.

As for some criticism, I would say there is nothing there that a few lessons and a ton of live shows wouldn't clear up. Your pitching is a little hit and miss, and some breathing excercises from a good singing teacher would put some power behind your pretty tone - no more nervous sounding singing then. Seth Riggs vocal teacher's are a good start - I learnt the most from them. Go to - dub dub dub dot speechlevelsinging dot com - (I can't post links yet - not enough posts) and click on the Find A Teacher link at the top. My pitching was hit and miss even after three years of live gigs, but now it's come good - only took me 7 years!!! I'm sure you'll be quicker than that.

Keep up the good work and effort.

The force thing comes up again. Don't be afraid to belt it out! It will make singing in tune easier and increase your range.

I just listened to the Beatles tune (I love the Beatles), and I agree with Aqua; belting it out would probably help your voice. Not that it's bad, but when you really belt it out, you get a lot more from your voice. I guess I just somewhat get the sense you're holding back a bit, and when you really let loose is when you can make some of your best stuff. You seem to have the whole tune down pretty pat though; you sing the, "it's the end, little girl," perfectly. You seem to stay in key the entire time too, which can be hard for people. Keep up the great work because you have a good voice, and it will only improve the more you work at it.

I love Fool on the Hill. It's great to see that you're practicing so diligently with your singing.
