I'd definatly go if I lived in England. I wish they'd tour in The States, but I doubt that'll happen anytime soon. It's a pity Sharon Osbourne was such a bitch to them at Ozzfest or they probably would tour the US more often.

Yeah she tried to fuck them over, but they stood firm and played their set, which I understand kicked ass! I bet they will visit the US some time soon as they seem to tour EVERYWHERE apart form their home country - England!

You know, I heard a lot of people talking about some big incident that kinda caused an uproar with Maiden fans. But I never heard exactly what went down. Anyone have a condensed version?

Maiden is a band that I've never really liked, but never gave much of a chance. Now that they're close to ending their careers it'd kinda be neat just to see them once to see what all those nutty fans love so much.

I personally think Sharon is full of shit and deserves a nice, big foot up her ass. I highly doubt Bruce would ever insult Ozzy or Black Sabbath, especially right to their faces.

In other words, Ozzy Osbourne is throughly pussy-whipped. It's obvious that his wife is bullshitting everyone and Ozzy isn't going to say anything against her, or Iron Maiden.

Now would be the time to go, Bruce's voice isn't as good as it used to be, and it's steadily getting worse. Aging sucks.

Whatever happened, I wouldn't blame ozzy. after all that sharon put up with... she saved his ass... granted, she is probably not the nicest person to those OTHER than ozzy, but you gotta say soemthing for loyalty in this crazy mixed up planet, says I.

I'm not blaming Ozzy, so far he hasn't said a word about the whole situation. It was Sharon that was a complete and total bitch to Iron Maiden as a whole, and then had the nerve to say Bruce Dickinson was shit talking Ozzy to his face. I seriously doubt Bruce would say anything, considering Black Sabbath and Ozzy are probably what inspired Iron Maiden.

I always thought that Bruce and Ozzy were good mates.

I guess that Sharon was jealous that Maiden are still going and Ozzie's career is just about at the end. So she got jealous and caused shit with Maiden. BITCH!

Damn, well they should come to the US so I can see them. That's really stupid with the whole Sharon thing, they should just get over it. Business should be buisiness and other things shouldn't be involved to ruin it. Whatever though, I guess I'll have to go overseas to see them...

Maiden got over it that evening it happened Sharon just kept fanning the flames by selling her shitty story to the papers and magazines. Thankfully the mighty Maiden are bigger than Sharon and just ignored the whiny bitch!

On a funny kinda related note, I saw a "Kill Sharon Osbourne" T-shirt written in the Maiden-esque text style. I got a good 5 minutes laugh outta that! If only I could find the shirt again

Glad to hear it, because I heard before that they said they wouldn't tour the US again anytime soon. Stupid rumors.
Oh, and if you can find that shirt again hit me up with a link to it, I'd definatly buy one.

While I'm not the biggest of Maiden fans, I thought they had the COOLEST posters, t-shirts and album art!

Eddie was/is the shit.

I used to have a picture disc of Piece of Mind, it was a big serving tray with all sorts of veggies, and in the center was a brain. Crazy stuff.

Can't recall the name of it, but my favorite was one where Eddie's seated and the ying yang vibe is really strong.

The left side has his hand hidden, while his other is in plain view, the one eye's red, while the other is green, one side has a candle, the other is dark. I can't remember them all, but it was a pretty deep one.

Haha I love Maidens album art - it's so original and pretty amusing. On the Number oif the Beast single, the album art if Eddie (thier zombier mascot) wielding an axe at the devil, whilst holding his throat! Makes me laugh every time I see it.

The Piece of Mind album art is also pretty damnm good!

Haha make sure you grope Steve Harris for me

In their up and coming tour, I think they are just going to tour Europe and South America again, so you are out of luck

Maybe when they open a map to see where they haven't toured lately, their hair gets in the way of Australia (on English maps Aus/NZ are bottom right) so they don't think "oh lets go there!"

Like no one comes to Australia, let alone the city I live in, Brisbane. There are just no venues big enough. The Government only just opened up our new sports stadium for open air concerts even though they said they would never do that. But it's too late, Brisbane missed out on The Rolling Stones, and guess who we get though... fucking Robin Williams. Still going though because its a once in a lifetime concert and there will be thousands packed in and my parents got us some bloody good seats!

I guess that's the drawback of living on an Island which is miles away from another country. Are Australians (the government) really against mild Satanic thoughts, as that may be why Maiden have never visited.

I just dont there is enough fans here, sure there is a lot, but compared to other places in the world where the fans are concentrated in plenty of areas I'm guessing in Aus we are more spread out. PLus we are loyal to our ACDC of course

That is a good point! Maiden do also only seem to tour where they know they have huge fan bases - South American and the Scandinavian countries.

I heard ACDC were bringing out a new album, is that true? If so, I'll be buying that straight away

They went on a world tour with shows in Australia after they released The Number Of The Beast.

That's hilarious that you got Robin Williams instead of Rolling Stones.

Yeah I know which one I would rather have... Oh well BOTH are going to be a once in a lifetime concert anyway. So at least I get to go to one even if I think he is a total dick. That being said I wouldnt mind being him...
