I really dug this album for being a posthumous release now 40 years after his death! Now if you expect it to be anything more than it is, you may be disappointed (but I expect you are reasonable music fans here). I feel that the guitar work is interesting enough to make this album feel whole. "Bleeding Heart" is a good example as it shows he was moving into direction of more of a Blues direction.

What do you guys thing?

Interesting. I didn't know there was a posthumous album, but apparently it got released two days ago.

Here's the last.fm link to the album. It looks like you listen to full tracks of most of the album.

I just listened to Stone Free which was pretty good. And pretty good is a huge step for me because I was never a big Hendrix fan.

I am now listening to Mr. Bad Luck and I really am not liking it. I am going to give a few other tracks a listen though.

Sounds like jams to me. Not to say it's not still Hendrix jams, but this sounds like bits and phrases from his other great works.

I never got into the whole Hendrix scene. I mean don't get me wrong he's got talent...a lot. I don't know too many artists who can do what he did on a guitar but it was just never my thing.
