Nothing makes me cry. No matter how much I want to at times, I can't cry for some reason. But some songs that make me want to cut myself are:

Bother - Stone Sour
Roses For The Dead - Funeral for A Friend
Close to the Flame - HIM
Alone In This Bed - Framing Hanley
Leave Out All The Rest - Linkin Park

I haven't done it in a while. When I have mental breakdowns, which unfortunately have been happening at the end of every school year, I tend to start messing with pills and razors, usually at the same time. I've woken up several times to find things carved into my sides. The last time I did was when my ex broke up with me and I was head over heals in love with him.

Could It Be Any Harder by The Calling. I've always loved it but I cry every time I listen to it since my dad died last year. Such a beautiful, touching song.

Sad... One day you'll be like me grown up and people will ask you what those scars are from and you'll look back at what you thought was a big deal when you were a child cutting yourself and feel like a fool trying to explain that you were a kid who didn't get the attention you felt you needed and thought the world was ending when silly little disapointments of a child presented themselves so you cut yourself hoping it would make it better but it didn't it just left nasty scars on you. Yeah I deal with that one all the time, stop cutting yourself like a little attention grabbing baby and get a healthy drug habit for crying out loud. Cuz no matter how much you cut yourself or if you even do it the right way from elbow to wrist and deep enough to lay the arterie open guess what... No one cares and they never will. You will never get back at anyone by hurting yourself. So drown it away like any other person with drugs and alcohol. Sheesh...

Most (not all) things that happen to people my age turn into some drama scene. I tell them to shut the fuck up, we have like 90% of out life left.

Though some people get sad because of divorces, dead relatives or what ever. I can understand that.

Who would I be hurting? No one gives a damn, as you said. I do it to calm myself down when I'm stressed or feeling like shit. It's an addiction and one I'm trying to recover from. When my ex broke up with me, I already had really low self esteem, my family and I were constantly having fights, and I was about to snap. That was three months ago. I haven't done it since. I have I don't know how many scars I have, but I don't do it where people will see. No one but the guidance councelor at my school and my best friend know I used to do that as much as I did. Like I said, I haven't done it in a while.

I simply enjoy the feeling. And putting peroxide in is fun. The only time I ever do it to actually relieve pain is when I have a dull, throbbing pain and want to overcome it with a sharp pain, since sharp pains feel better than throbbing pains.

I have low self esteem, my mom to going insane 'cause my Grandma has cancer so I can't talk to her, my dad works like 13 hour shifts, and gets paid nothing so I can't talk to him. I just play music, I never saw enjoyment in cutting.

Man, we could have a thread on this.

The previous 12 posts were moved from the "What Songs Make You Cry?" thread, because it was getting derailed. A few disclaimers...

1. Cutting is a form of emofaggotry, and I will not nor do not condone any form of emofaggotry, be it real or hypothetical, neither personally nor professionally wearing any of the hats that I wear, including the hat of Sole Proprietor of KMA.

2. The information on this Web site is presented for educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for informed medical advice or training. Do not use this information to diagnose or treat a mental health problem without consulting a qualified health or mental health care provider.

3. If you are having suicidal thoughts, please dial 1-800-SUICIDE and speak with someone, if you don't feel comfortable talking to a friend or relative.

4. If this thread ends up being a huge magnet for emofaggotry on search engines, I may delete or trash it.

5. Commence with the emofaggotry. I love you all, I just don't want to touch this subject with a 10 ft. pole, so holla if I'm needed to clean up any carnage or whatever.

You can, just so long as if it involves hard drug use, you're not just glorifying it. But I thought you said you were done with drugs so I'm curious now.

I am Rickenbacker, I have never done a drug...Not sure if that's good. I would feel so left out if there was a recovery thread and have to get an addiction just to fit it.

Alcohol can be an addiction as well but so can nasal spray so it's not like you really have to try... And you seem to have a pretty hardcore internet addiction right now so...

I used to cut myself when I was a teenager, and that sucked a lot, hehe. So don't cut yourself, or your arms will look like a ...zebra... from mars.

And remember, life is not all about love, girl.

proven fact that being hurt releases endorphins, to counteract the feeling of shock.I'm not endorsing it, but i AM saying that it is not completely without premise.
I had a period in my life where i probably should have been medicated that i did it. Not to end things, but mostly to get through things that I was stuck on.
Im fine now, but i would NOT do it again.

And to feer, you are 100% right. Life should not be spent looking for love,
you shouldn't have to have an anchor to be "free".
