This forum is to discuss artists and debate who should go into the KMA Hall of Fame. I would like to encourage everybody to participate in all of this process rather than just voting and moving on. It's important that we can debate the merits of each artist nominated so that we can all make informed decisions about who belongs in the Hall of Fame. For further details about the KMA Hall of Fame, please check out this announcement.


Each month a new artist will be suggested, debated, and inducted with the following timeline:

The 1st through the 7th - Suggestion phase - the suggestion threads will be opened and closed on these dates, and then selection of 3 nominees will occur shortly afterwards.

The 9th through the 28th - Debate/Voting Phase - A thread created in debate/voting (here) and a poll will be added the first day.

Last day of the month - A winner will be announced and an article posted regarding them and how/why they were selected.

In order to best get your point across about who should be inducted, it is best to cite facts and accomplishments. They will really help to show everybody that this artist deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame. In addition, this forum is a good place to volunteer to write the Hall of Fame articles for the winning artists. If you would like to volunteer for a winning artist, please post in the debate/discussion thread and send me a PM. Because users can't post new threads here, any articles you have to offer will need to be posted in the voting threads or sent to MusicMan via a PM, to later be edited and posted by a staff member. Proper credit will be given to whoever is helpful enough to write a good article for us to use.

To write an article for the Hall of Fame it is recommended that you have at least a decent knowledge about the artist and are able to articulate their contributions to music. Some good examples can be found here and here. It's not important to just have a huge list of discographies and track listings. What we want to know is why this artist is important.
