KMA is now taking VERY aggressive anti-spam measures.

I'll keep it short and sweet.

There are certain countries that we get traffic from that generate a metric ton of spam per day. And I have given it some time to see if we would EVER get one single active and contributing member from those countries. Years have passed and certain countries have failed miserably and I can say now that all of the countries who produced tons of spam and security threats, yet produced not one single member who is worth having around here, all of those countries are now absolutely banned from KMA. They can't even see us, much less post their bullshit or try to attack us now.

This is not a joke. I even specifically warned some of the spammers from China that they were close to getting their entire country banned. So now, after much work, I can happily say that KMA is now completely blocking...

1,332,580,000 people in China
1,168,080,000 people in India
191,753,000 people in Brazil
141,864,000 people in Russia
85,789,573 people in Vietnam
46,115,941 people in Ukraine and
24,051,706 people in North Korea

For a grand total of 2.99 Billion people, or roughly 44% of the world's population. This was done to make it a lot easier for us, the staff of KMA, to keep our community clean and free of spam. Let's see how well it works and we'll discuss adding or removing countries from the list when the need arises. But it's a fact that around 75% of malicious traffic comes from those countries, and 90% of our spam lately comes from those countries, and there has been a noticable increase in all malicious internet activity and spamming over the last 6 months, so this was necessary in my opinion.

Don't get your hopes up, Indonesia!

You're probably next!

Hopefully 8/25/09 will forever live in infamy as the day the spammers died at KMA, or at least started dying.

It'll definitely help. But keep an eye out for where foreign spam is coming from and we'll continue to refine the list and maybe add other countries. I left off Argentina, Turkey, and Italy despite them rounding off the final 3 spots of the "Top 10 malicious traffic source" countries. We've got a decent military population in Turkey, Italy has an economy other than spamming internets, and Argentina got left out because I don't remember us having any problems with them so far, little to none traffic at all from there overall.

Also, I'm debating some other big changes, just need a couple days to think about them and weigh the pros/cons. So stay tuned to this subforum everyone, I'll probably be asking for the input of all members very soon.

You should add Texas too, nothing good comes from Texas, oh and Montana too... Why on earth do we allow that place to be online at all? And don't forget Alabama, Christ Alambama??!! Need I say more? And let's not forget New Mexico, like we really needed another one of those.... Oh wait I live there right now... You know what maybe the smartest place to start would be with my IP... Boy if that wouldn't save you from reading stoopid crap like this...

And then I'd say ban the rest of the U.S. seeing as such a small percentage of the population has any intelligence at all they really don't deserve to have any access to something as brilliant as the internet. And then could we ban the Aussies?? I just hate their accent it's like are they Brits or not?? Cmon... Oh and please please please ban the middle east... You know all those terrorists are using this site to gain intelligence on our private lives so they can fly planes through our living rooms right?? And finally can we ban Canada too? I mean What does Canada do for anyone that aren't Canadians right? Besides they have too many beavers and I have inside info that beavers are really responsable for global warming from all the trees they destroy to make their dams... And yeah I like maple syrup and all but it's not like any Canadians come here offering me any now do they?? Besides I don't really know how to speak Canadianese anyways... The only people that should really be allowed access to this site would be people from Japan. I mean they might get really mad if we don't let them on the site especially seeing as they made the computer you're using to access the internet anyways, besides haven't you ever seen Godzilla? If they got mad they might send him to your house and I'll tell you what I don't have nearly enough TUMS to help him with that heartburn and I don't think anyone else does either so he would completely exhaust our supply here in the states and then what would we do?? Never though about that did ya?? Maybee I should not smoke that stuff before posting....

I suspected this and don't feel so bad about releasing the WolfBirds before your confirmation now. But for your honesty, I'll give you some advice that may delay the inevitable.... Try and run to your local arms dealer and get some titanium plating, at least 1" thick, to reinforce your doors and windows. Best of luck.
