Review

Intro
This song I found rather creepy. The intro of the song is in a child’s voice saying “yes Jesus loves me”. Once that is put aside the song kicks into full gear going straight into some of the most brutal guitar and screaming in the album.

Means to No End
Nice bass intro to this song lasting around 30 seconds all leading into chaos. Nothing else could describe it. You go from something simple to another thing so amazing(if you’re into that stuff) that you feel the sudden urge to beat up the nearest living person you hate. It does cool down though into the bass and screaming though it is rather hard to understand.

Loathing
Here is a song that anyone who loves pit music would enjoy. Even though it sounds random and like it was put together at the last second, the smarter people can tell it is actually put together so well it sounds chaotic.

Save me from the Outside World
A song to make even the most die hard fans tremble is Save me from the Outside World. There are literally no words to describe it. The screaming is so nicely done that even if you don’t know what is going on, you do know.

Believe
This would be one of the quieter songs on the album but that doesn’t make it any less amazing. For once in the album the drums get to take a break and it is more focused around the guitars. Some may see this as a mistake because they weren’t the best in this song but nonetheless still great.

Supine
Right here is what fans always wanted. This is one of the few songs in the CD that has a noticeable beat upon first listen. If you are just getting into this band, this is the song to start with.

Push Past
A song to really get you going is Push Past. I’ve listened to this song over and over and each time I swear it slows down unintentionally. This might bother some but it could also be slowing down for the slow part ahead. Either way, this song is somewhat of a letdown except for a few friends I know that love it to death.

Cutting Away
Amazing intro. That just about sums up the song right there. The guitars that bring the song in make it so even if you don’t want to listen to the song, you wouldn’t dare change it. You become so facinated that you don’t want to be where you are right then, you want to be at the concert. I find the middle portion of this song funny though because it just stops, and then goes straight back to business.

Drown
Similar to the last song is Drown. The only big difference is this one brings the drums into their fully glory. Besides that, there is nothing in this song that Cutting Away didn’t offer and I personally don’t think they should have been put next to each other.

Unfound

A nice break after the last two songs is Unfounded. It is considerably slower than anything else on the album while still maintaining the same feel. Unlike the other songs it stays slower maybe due to being 3 times longer than the others.

Swallow
The last song on the albums is amazing different. At the start you swear you got the wrong CD. It’s techno. You think, that in 30 seconds it will change back to screaming but no, all 6 minutes of this song are techno. Good techno at that.

final score(out of 10)9
