"Mary Jane," a love song

All two takes.

(The first few lines of vocals I definitely messed up, so I'll get those re-done sooner or later. This is the first song I sing in.)

Inspired by October 2006 to October 2008.

She broke my mind an' heart, but I'll always love her so.

My Cheap Records- if you'd like to slap a little francois lovin' on the end there, be my guest.

And anyone out there- go for it. You can stretch it, mold it, play with it, as long as it comes through in one piece.

The instrumentation is pretty solid, although the mixing could definitely use some work. The bass (frequency, not necessarily instrument) is way to loud and drowns out the vocals. Also, I could only occaisonally hear a drum. I really have been craving this type of music lately, though, so

Yeah, so have I.

I'll see if I can do something about those vocals- the drums are off beat because I added them last. I'll just have to re-do the guitar with less bass (i'll use my electric).

Hey,
that was a fun tune ! I don't think you did a bad work mixing this song, the sound is balanced enough in my opinion.

By the way, I don't really understand what you want me to do, but the song sounds perfect the way you put it

I agree about the mix, but over all it's pretty good. I'm craving a little more substance in the lyric but other than that it's nice. Anyone else feeling way reminded of Jeff Buckley?
