So I've noticed one major advantage to having half of my classes all in the music department: you're surrounded by musicians. This of course makes finding a band much easier than before. I was fortunate enough to find a handful of musicians willing to work with me and form a psychobilly band, Ash's Oldsmobile (much love to anybody who gets the reference). Luckily, renting an upright bass from the music department was cheap as hell since my cello teacher worked out a deal, mentioning that technically it was for class. When I move into a house next year I'll have space to actually buy one, making practice easier.
Anyways, this is awesome and I have my first gig tomorrow, and we're working on lining some more up. I must say, this is awesome. If we ever use the recording studio on campus, I'll be sure to upload our songs. |

That's awesome! Yeah, that can definitely be an advantage to rubbing shoulders with other music majors. There's quite a few bands at my school with music majors, but yours probably has a lot more being a larger school and all. That should be fun.

That's great man! I figured you would probably meet a lot of musicians at school, but it's nice to hear you found some people to actually start something with.
Congrats and I can't wait to hear what you guys do.

Whooo! That's awesome in all it's awesomeness. [I promise to never use the word awesome ever again.]
I love listening to psychobilly. And, in conjunction, I would love to hear any music by your band if and when you upload it onto here. It's an anticipation worth the wait, I might say. It might just help my itch in wanting to listen to new things. ![]()
