This is another incomplete track idea as always. I just tend to collect things like this; I probably have a million of them to finish. I'd love to hear what you think though, because I changed up the way I solo in this one; it's a lot softer then usual. I think the track does get a bit stale because there isn't many rhythmic parts in it except the few drums, and it sits on the same chord for a while, so I still have to add to it I feel. It's not finishing where it does either, it's just the beginning of the track. I would really appreciate any thoughts you may have though, regardless of how little is done. Thank you in advance for listening.
Edit - I worked with it a bit more, and added a reworked version. Do you think it's improved at all? Do you think the acoustic fits? Do you like the solo? Any comments would be very much appreciated. Edit again - Sorry, I have another addition. I added a bowed guitar part in to add to the atmospheric sound of it. The guitar solo could definately still be better, and I mess up at the end, but I'm mainly looking to see what you think of the bowed sound. Do you feel it fits? Is it a good volume? Does it add too much hum? Thank you again. Edit once again - I updated the track once again (and changed the title for now). This time though, it's without a guitar solo, it's just the background. It does pick up a bit now, and it really goes somewhere by the end. I'd love to know what you think of how it develops though. Thank you again for listening. I listened to the first and the third ones. I wish I could figure out who it reminds me of, because it's somebody specific and good. I don't think it gets stale like you did - maybe it has to do with it having been my first time listening to it. I really liked that atmosphere. You did a pretty good job mixing it - it had a lot of depth.
Did you use an actual violin bow, or one of those ebow things? My dad really wants to start Sigur Rosing his guitar, too. ![]() |

I like how it starts with the drums and the piano.
Right at about :56, it kind of sounds like the echo on the guitar is out of time with the rest of the song, or something. There's some really weird tempo clash. All in all, though, I really like it. It's really soothing and the song has a lot of depth to it. It all fits together nicely. Nothing stood out as out-of-place, but nothing seemed missing, either. Nice work. |

Awesome stuff man, could I have the backing track for Along the Horizon?
Nice guitar playing.. sounds mostly clean. One of the better guitarists here i s'pose? I'll listen to the other one later. [Edit] Oh, cool, I listened to it now. Do you have the chord progression for Lights of Sunrise.. really neat shit man. 10/10! |

Aadd9 - Dmaj7 - Add9 - Dmaj7 - C#min7 - Aadd9 - C#min7 - Aadd9 - Dmaj7 - E7 - F#m - C#m - Dmaj7 - F#m - C#m - Dmaj7 It sits on the first chord for a long time, until about 0:41 into the track. I'd love to hear you play on it though, maybe you could provide me with some more ideas. |

Yeah, my music has a whole lot of post rock in it; I listen to a lot of Sigur Ros, Explosions in the Sky and Mogwai. I agree about the solo too, it's still in the works, and the only take I somewhat like really is the first one; the second and the third get pretty rough at parts. Thank you for listening though, I'm very glad you enjoyed it.

Yea please, let me play some over it.. the only thing you could change to make a better backintrack is the drums, better sound that is.

Well, just in case you're unaware, I'm not using this as a guitar backing track even though I will be putting a solo to it. This will be one of my songs, not just something to jam over. I'll probably have it on a demo at some point or other. But thank you.
