Woohoo, psychedelic rock for the win! I don't really know many psychedelic groups - Blue Cheer, The Grateful Dead, Iron Butterfly, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, and that's about it - but I love the ones I do know. Nice thread!

Listening to this song right after listening to the song you recently posted, I can definitely see how it is that you like psychedelic music.

Okay Guys, time to make an update !
Well, first of all for those who'd like to experience the psychedelic visions, you should know about Salvia Divinorum.... It's a plant-based drug that has the same effects that LSD, except that there are no bad side-effects and no risk of getting addicted to it (that's why it is still legal in most of our western countries). Here's a short documentary that deals with the plant itself and its effects : Okay, now some great psychedelic bands you may not know : The Deep Six - Paint it black (Rolling stones' song) Os Mutantes - Panis Et Circenses PS : about the Os Mutantes, the video is not related to the song, so don't pay attention to it ![]() |

Here are 2 songs I found on youtube, hope you'll enjoy them ![]() Be Me A Child's Garden (for some reason, the youtube user shortened it to 1min30) |

Everybody cares, they just don't have enough knowledge themselves to add anything of their own.

Well Aqua, I'm gonna take my chance on this. If you think this post is against the rules, well delete it and I am sorry.
This is one of the last post of this thread. When you're looking for obscure psychedelic bands, you have to expect to pay them at a high price (from 18 to 40 euros, which is pretty expensive concerning Compact Discs). So there's this trick I found out on the net to make sure you don't spend such amounts of money and then get disappointed because the album is not as good as you expected it to be. It's a really good way to buy only the albums you actually like. Just google any name of any band you're looking for, and then add the word "blog" at the end. If you're just a little bit lucky, you'll find out someone out there who created a blog and then talked about this band you're looking for. If you're a little bit more lucky, you'll find out a rapidshare or megaupload link with the entire album you were just looking for (there are tons of blogs dealing with this type of thing). Concerning Psychedelic Music, I've come to the conclusion that by doing this, you can find them ALL. So here's a list of some really good psychedelic bands you can check out there : - The Comfortable Chair - The Deep Six - The Travel Agency - Fairfield Parlour - Kaleidoscope (UK) - The Blues Magoos - The Image Group - Love - The Creation

I hope this isn't the last post of this thread.
This is a good thread. I have been absent for many weeks now, having a little remodeling going on and working overtime, I have not had a chance to get online much. I intend to post an update on my threads in the next week or so. I like the recommendations and will look for them guys as time permits. I am glad you came back around and especially with such a cool and much needed thread. |

I don't like much psychedelic music, but I enjoyed Two sisters.

Wow, I really thought this thread had actually become useless, that's why I wanted to put an end to it !
I decided to upload some videos thanks to my Youtube Account, and then report all the links here, so I can share more of my psychedelic music with you guys ![]() Doing this will allow me to show you more interesting things than what Youtube's users may have posted yet, mainly about the bands I already I mentioned here. Here you go, with The Deep Six again : it was a really REALLY great band, San Diego-based of five men and one woman. They released their unique album in 1966. Here's one of my favourite songs of their album : Solitary Man, great cover better than the original song (at least, that's what I think). PS : In case you are wondering, although both of the songs I linked to are actually covers, The Deep Six is a not one of those "covering band". I'll post an other song of theirs soon, but this time, it won't be cover.
