Hi and thanks
![]() For a self produced and mixed album I 'd say yes. We recorded it in Panama, we flew down to Argentina and mixed it in an amazing studio calle EL PIE (because of the economic crisis we could afford it). Then It was mastered by Randy Meryl at MASTERDISK Studios in New York. Approximately 4K The Video was 3K misc. plane tickets, food, hotel, cd design, cd copies... Approximately 3K 10,000K total |

Wow, sounds like an amazing experience and somewhat more glamorous than our drive across to the other side of the UK to a place called Wales in our ex post office van to record our 2nd ep with with Romesh Dodangoda. Had a great time though.
Your recording and mastering costs look good compared to the UK. Have studios had to lower their prices or do you mean the strength of your economy means you can get good value elsewhere. Recording seems a lot more expensive than getting some video shot over here, especially with the number of devices that can record HD quality. The video for our last single, Katie, was made using footage from a gig and cost very little to make and we don't think is too bad on quality - youtube.com/watch?v=5HpeJmSZN8c |

Hi Underline The Sky
Answer to your question: The studios lowered their prices in results of an economic crisis. Nice video and fresh sound, very pleasing to the ear I must say! Congratulations ![]() For the video, it is incredible what home made equipment measures up to be these days, not to mention, the video editing as well; watching your video makes me feel as if I were ripped off $3000 for the making of ours haha. I have a question for you: I see that you are from England. Coincidentally my band is looking to station itself there, we're doing much research in the live music pub section, none the less it is quite difficult to book gigs. So, I hope it isn't improper of me to ask, but do you have any contacts as in a booking agent? My band has funds, 3 albums and much experience... we're just in a country that lacks the market. Thank you, Fred from The Vox www.myspace.com/thevoxpty |

Oops, sorry perhaps we should have kept quiet about the video but thanks for your comments. I think you probably did better on the album recording though.
Is there not a market for guitar base music in general or just rock music? Don't suppose there'd be much interest in our pop rock songs then. Do you have music festivals out there? It's difficult for UK bands to get much interest from booking agents unless at a certain level of popularity so understand your frustration. Our April and July tours are in partnership with another band for each tour and we've worked together to book dates and use facebook to get fans to suggest places to play in their hometowns. We'll pass on your query to a couple of people we know to see if they are interested in helping. Have also pass on your links to a friendly local radio show called RollOn that should give you some airplay if interested. UTS x |
