I just broke my post virginity :]
There is an awesome new band growing in the rock scence...Serpico. The four lads are from Scotland, lead by singer Mickey Serpico. They have been recognised by Kerrang! and Hammer... "Mighty things are afoot here...dark, muscular movements with rippling, polished guitar, a kind of mangly of Killings Joke and Avenged Sevenfold...There's ambition and complexity, but nothing that isn't accessible" Kerrang! "Massive slabs of punk-infused three chord wondrousness... Cerebral music for people who like some weight behind their rock" Hammer They've recently supported Aiden and Elliot Minor, but do not be fooled, they are far from "emo", they have created good, solid punk rock. Their EP is out, which I have bought, I reckon the best song on it is "Alkaline Nights" And they're a real down to earth bunch of guys! My friends and I met Mikey on the way to an Aiden concert in Dublin (go on...laugh), he walked with us, and was really cool! Afterwards he was outside, talking to everyone, giving hugs and having pictures taken. Great guy. I'd really recommend them...check them out for yourself... on myspace: /serpicoband Peace, bitches. |
