Some other ideas from the new album

So I've been steady working on trying to get my thoughts in an organized state so I can write music for my album. I began talking to a graphic design friend of mine and she showed me a recent work she did involving a dark room with dead flowers and a wedding veil on the floor. The only light was from a broken window and the window was crowded with arms trying to grasp the flowers and veil.
This got me to thinking about marriage and how it's been downplayed and ruined. Seems that now days, it's become nothing but a tool that people use to get what they want. Or to cover something up.
So I began writing and out came the song L Is For Love.
I'm pretty sure once I get it fine tuned, I'll end up putting it on the album. Until then, though, here's the words:

L Is For Love

Looking in through a window
Broken glass stained with blood
A disease so common
It leaves an ocean of tears
The circle is meaningless
As she says yes

The lie is arbitrary but
They're all none the wiser
Just because the truth
Can't be seen
Doesn't mean it won't exist

Disgustingly self abusive
The days cut right through her
The wedding's a facade
For her family
Everything is perfect
Praying nobody finds that
The dress is a lie

It's nothing but acting

Very nice... The sham of marriage wonderful topic!!!! This one I like much more than the last only for the subject as the last one was very well written too.

Yeah. I thoroughly enjoyed writing this piece. I'm working on the instrumentals now and it's coming along decent.

Oddly enough, I had the idea to have like a falsetto vocal track underneath the chorus singing "L Is For Love". Haha
