Cool! I'll answer this after I take a shower (it will take me a while, and other people have to take showers, too ).

Well, I can't figure out how to find out how many songs for each artist or genre there are.

Nevermind. I figured it out, and I'll compile a list at my earliest convenience.

Ok, here we go (finally!). It took a while - basically all the money I don't spend on food I spend on music.
It's really a great opportunity for a (kind of scary) look into my brain.

Let me explain my genres - in the first place, I'm extremely neurotic, so I like to tag all my music. But I also like to tag it as specifically as possible in case it should happen that I want to listen to a specific type of music. "Rock" just doesn't cut it when I want to listen to something pretty heavy and yet progressive.

Genres in my media library

Looking at what I put under some of those genres, I am overcome by a neurotic need to reclassify a lot of my music. Some of them, I don't even know what they mean (like "game"? ), others have only one track, and some (like "blues") have tracks that don't really fit under that genre. Others, like "ambient", didn't have songs under them that should have been. Not to mention the redundancy of "Punk" and "Punk rock".

Most Tracks Scrobbled on last.fm

1 Erasure - 377
2 Rush - 369
3 Pet Shop Boys - 343
4 Van Halen - 253
5 New Order - 252
6 Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark - 245
7 David Bowie - 238
8 Depeche Mode - 230
9 Utopia - 229
9 Brian Eno - 229
11 Blue October - 225
12 Alice Cooper - 199
13 They Might Be Giants - 196

15 Talking Heads - 190

Woooooooo... 108 genres!

Anyway, I had lots of redundant genres (for example, "punk rock", "punk" and "protopunk" alongside each other, as well as different genres "metal" and "heavy metal", and a genre called "the Tulsa sound" exclusively for J.J. Cale, simply because I was too lazy to classify each of his songs separately) and incorrectly labeled songs as well... some time ago. But I reclassified it, and now I have 11 neat genres, with none of them having less than 15 tracks.

Yeha, I reclassified some of mine yesterday, getting rid of genres that only had one track (that's just silly) reclassifying things that are badly classified. Today, though, I might get around to listing all the artists to finally finish my stats.
