The Uncut Rubber Studios have churned out yet another MIDI file desperately trying to pass for a song. This one is called "Tea, Eggs, Toast (The Breakfast Boogie)" and is an ode to the traditional English breakfast. It should be at least twice as long as it is now, but laziness and lack of inspiration kept me from writing more verses and/or solos.
On this track, the vocals are not represented by a piano, but by a saxophone. And here are the lyrics - they don't make much sense...

Tea, Eggs, Toast (The Breakfast Boogie)
I don't want sugar
In my tea
I don't want sugar
In my tea
It's just black tea
And loads of milk for me
Now there may be people
Who start the day with chicken roast
Oh, there may be people
Who start the day with chicken roast
But I can't wake up
Without tea, eggs and toast
I said tea, eggs, toast
Tea, eggs, toast
Tea, eggs, toast
Tea, eggs, toast
Tea, eggs, toast sure are good for me
(Guitar solo)
I said tea, eggs, toast
Tea, eggs, toast
Tea, eggs, toast
Tea, eggs, toast
Tea, eggs, toast sure are good for me

So, what do you think?

That intro riff was impressive! You come up with some of the most creative ideas for songs. I'm very impressed with this song.

Yeah, well, for the sort of music I write, the riff is often the most important bit. That's where I always start. From that point on, the trick is not to come up with more ideas but to get Guitar Pro 5 to make things sound like I want them to sound, which can be hard, since my sense of sheet-music timing isn't very sharp.
This is often very frustrating, and this is what often keeps me from making things longer.

The music is almost as funny as the words! It's well done almost sounds like a sample on a casio keyboard that you let play while you pretend you know how to play the song!!

Uncut Rubber that is excellent! The tempo is a bit fast, but maybe that is because of the midi. Anyway, that is the kind of music that makes me put on my skirt and boots and go "booooogie". Let us know when you have the vocals added, I would love to hear it

Why, thanks. But I'm afraid there won't be any vocals... I don't have a microphone, and I'm not planning to buy one anywhere in the near future. Besides, I fail at singing. As of now, I have only two ways of making music: either I write sheet music in Guitar Pro 5 and get a MIDI file, or I record things I play on my keyboard, then feed that to Audacity using a minijack-minijack cable. Unfortunately, Audacity doesn't know much about table manners, so the sound I get out of that is often horrible, especially for long songs with lots of tracks.
