I love it when techno groups do remixes of well known rock songs. I heard a great techno remix of California Dreaming by the Mamas and the Papas. There was another one of Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles. And just recently I heard a great remix of the Logical Song by Supertramp. It's great when they take a well-known song that I already enjoy and mix it up a bit into a genre that I generally love. It just makes the song ... I hesitate to say better, but it's a pleasant change. Anybody know of any great remixes?

The remix of Talk Show Host that was on the Romeo+Juliet soundtrack. There's also a remix of Reach Up for the Sunrise by Duran Duran that I really like too. Those are just a few.

Rep Power: 57 Brother muFFdy has a little shameless behaviour in the past

A few great "mash-ups" I have:

Sweet Dreams vs. Without Me - Eurythmics vs Eminem

Bittersweet Dirt Off Your Shoulder - Jay Z & The Verve

Bad VS Ghostbusters Theme - Michael Jackson

Bitter Sweet Symphony (Dance Mix) - The Verve w. DJ QuickSilver

My Name Is (Hard Rock Remix) - Eminem vs ACDC

Hey Mama - Black Eyed Peas vs The Cure

I know some of you think this is probably the worst thing to happen to music when they mix a perfectly good song with a shitty song from a modern band. Some work, some dont, these ones for me work. And they sound fine. I remember a DJ did a mix up of Queen and a shitty modern band and it was the worst thing to happen to music (imho) after emo music

Blue Lagoon did an awesome job on their remakes:

"Do you really want to hurt me"
"Break My Stride"
"Heartbreaker"
