Dave Grohl and Josh Homme glad to count with their lifetime idol in their newest band

When I first heard that Dave Grohl, Josh Homme and John Paul Jones were forming a supergroup, I knew fans of their 3 main bands (Foo Fighters, Led Zeppelin, Queens of the Stone Age) were not to be disappointed with the final result, and, when you get to hear their self titled album for the first time, you know it is going to be a regular in your music device.

I liked the album, but it was a bit overdone. It's a lot of stuff too digest in one sitting which isn't the case with their normal bands. I like the idea of them just coming up with a fun riff and building it around that too.

Feelings on the album aside, anything had to be better than 2009's other new supergroup - Chickenfoot. Ugh....

Chickenfoot is not a bad band, but it feels as if they are all trying to prove how talented they are and sometimes it feels a bit like each member is trying to lead the song.
