Okay, I start this thread to see if anyone around here happens to be a fan of Twin Peaks ?
I'm a huge fan of Twin Peaks since I found out that the X-Files was actually inspired by this series. Although it doesn't purely deal with paranormal phenomenons, Twin Peaks more or less shares the same deep and dark atmosphere of the X-files. By the way, did you know David Duchovny appears in Twin Peaks ? Guess what his role is... A tranvestite DEA Agent ![]() Man, you gotta watch this : Fox Mulder or Hank Moody dressed like a woman !!!!!! ![]() That's what happens when a genius like David Lynch plays with his characters ![]()

I first watched Twin Peaks when it first came out and only watched one episode, found it confusing, and never watched again. But that was before I understood the brilliance of David Lynch. I have since become a HUGE fan of his cinematic work, he's probably my favorite director of all time. But having said that, I still haven't revisited Twin Peaks and given it another chance now that I've matured a bit and refined my tastes in entertainment. I suppose it's still possible that I'll find it rubbish, but I highly doubt it. So I'll probably rent the series on DVD when I get a chance. Thanks for reminding me of something I've been meaning to do for a while now.
![]() How do you feel about Eraserhead, Mulholland Drive, and Lost Highway? Ever notice the links between the 3? Good stuff indeed. ![]()

You're definitely gonna like it !
I don't know about it in the US, but in France, the seasons are pretty expensive : season 1 has got only 7 + 1 (pilot) episodes and costs about 45 euros. Season 2 offers 20 episodes for about 89 euros. The pilot episode and the 1st episode of season 2 last about an hour and half. I guess those are the prices to pay to enjoy what came out of Lynch's hands. There's a movie too which I haven't seen yet, so I don't really know anything about it except that Twin Peaks fans absolutely loved it. This series drew my attention on Lynch's work, and last week I revisited Mullholland Drive which I had seen a couple of years ago... I had to see it twice before getting to the bottom of its real story, and once you come to understand what this movie is all about, you can't say anything but "OH MAN !! WHAT A F* MOVIE !!" At least, that's what I said in french ![]() Unfortunately, I haven't seen the other movies you mentioned and was actually looking for another Lynch's movie "Blue Velvet" with Kyle MacLachlan (Main character of Twin Peaks). Ever seen it ?

Doh! I have not seen that one. I never seem to remember it when I'm at Blockbuster, but I'll try to next time I go. I'm looking forward to seeing Dennis Hopper at his most evil, I've heard a lot of good things about his performance and this film.
