Hi. Please give me a warm welcome to this forum. Thank you.

I'm looking for some nice ,good quality Asian music. Japanese, Vietnamese, Chinese or what ever. I know about Meiko Kaji and I just bought an album from her. Great music by the way! It would be great if anyone out there could give me some artist names or groups. Any genre. Thanks!

Welcome to the forums! I don't know any asian music, so I can't help you out there, but I'm going to move this thread to the Soundtrack subforum, where it might get more views.

Here are some Japanese bands which roam around my playlist:

x-japan, dir en grey, luna sea, animetal (this one makes covers of anime songs). Give some a try, some are a bit metal, others are... just weird :p

A late welcome to the KMA forum!!

Hmm, I don't particularly listen to Asian music (since I have no clue what they are saying... ^^; ) but I heard that Utada Hikaru is a famous Japanese singer (and seems to be pretty popular in another forum).

Also, the twin duo ON/OFF sound pretty good, as well as Kanon Wakeshima (who is a new artist and uses the cello, which sounds really cool). I've only heard one ON/OFF song and one Kanon Wakeshima song (she's only got one single) from an anime soundtrack, but they sound awesome. (By the way, ON/OFF and Kanon Wakeshima are Japanese artists)

ON/OFF song: Futatsu no Kodou to Akai Tsumi (TV Version lyrics)
Song name = Two Heartbeats and a Red Sin

Kanon Wakeshima's first single: Still Doll (music video)

On/Off reminds me of a group called O-Zone. They sing in Romanian, but their style seems pretty similar to that On/Off song. You should check them out.

I liked both the songs you posted. Thanks.

@Aqualung
Oh, I love O-Zone's song Dragostia Din Tei!! (Not sure if I spelt it right...) I always wondered what language they were singing in, and I thought it was German. Never knew they sang in Romanian. ^^

And you're welcome!! Thank you for the thank you. xD

By the way, ON/OFF's new single (Futatsu) is going to be released on June 4th.

You should listen to some of the other songs, then. They sound more like the ON/OFF song than Dragostea din tei, plus they're just a great band in general.
