My boyfriend raps. He's really good at it..and I didn't know if it was just me or not so I was wonderin what you guys thought of it..Heres one of my favorites..
Dreams..and if you'd like to hear a freestyle thats AMAZING..just post back I guess? I'm not going to post two if you guys don't even like him.

No, this isn't advertising - it's what the site is for.

I really like the backing instruments. I don't like rap very much, so I don't have a lot of knowledge about it, but he seems pretty good. I can understand what he's saying and stuff, and the song is really well structured. I think I recall you mentioning that you're 17 years old. Is your boyfriend the same age? This is pretty good stuff for a 17 year old.

Oki. So I can't comment a rap song, sorry, but I'll do my best:

the background instrumentation is quite good, and even if it's looped several times, it doesn't sound like "all the same". There are enough variations for it to sound good. The drums and voice... sorry, not for me, but a rap fan should comment them better than me.

Is the background midi? If it is, good job while programming, it sounds nice!

He's been doing this a while, eh?

Eww, these synths are gross. In a bad way. And distracting. In a bad way.

Lungs break was good.

Much more wordplay and metaphors in the second verse, I like it.

Real... Real... Meh.

Alright, this hook is cool.

This is pretty straightforward.

Girlfriend: "Ugh, it sounds like emo shit." Yeah, this beat is doing these lyrics no justice whatsoever.

Alright, and the end was all emotional and whathaveyou, but it didn't have the effect I'm sure he was looking for.

Alright, this is my critique, I hope it isn't too harsh: the vocals are excellent, but the beat needs some serious work in my opinion.

I know of some decent spots that have some good beats, and perhaps I could sync one up for him. I also put them together, so if you'd please ask him if he'd mind, I'd love the vocals to play with. They're definitely workable, and with the right production, this could be a pretty fucking nice song with exactly the sort of effect he was looking for.

Overall, kid has talent!

Don't forget to let me know if he would be interested in me doing something with his vocals.

No, seriously, that was good.

Like, a couple of lines were noteworthy. I especially liked "like God should have named me MC", that was pretty good. I was impressed.

The beat was much better this time. I could clearly understand the purpose and function of it.

Anyway, keep them coming! I'm interested in this guy.

And the offer for the free beats are still open. I used to rap much more often and suffice to say that I know what it's like.

holy crap

Dream, was amazing. I'm not big into rap, but this was the crap that normally comes out. I loved this, i wasnt so big on the freestyle. But damn, if he's coming out with songs like Dream, i would definitely spend some money to listen, i loved the album cover for it.
