Since everyone is being so supportive.
I am looking for an alternative school for music. That fits around my schedule, doesn't cost me everything I have, and let's me train in the industry? I have seen some great sites but would like the input of those who are in this line of work or in classes somewhere? Right, and I'd like to be doing what I love within a year? Can you help? |

I'm not currently aware of anything that could give you what you need, but maybe one of our other members might be able to help. Welcome to KMA!

Yeah, I'm going to have to echo Zephyr in that I don't know anything like this.
My interest in music is not quite as developed as yours obviously is. Hopefully another KMA member will be able to help, but if you happen to find something on your own be sure to post it here. Good luck! |

Welcome to KMA!
![]() I don't know of any alternative schools of music, other than local "Rock Band Camp" type deals where you kinda take lessons as a group and play gigs and stuff like that. Call your local music stores to see if they have anything like that in your town.

Hey pig man? I don't suppose I can get you to change the photo? Just thought I'd ask.
Tell me why a music store would help? you mean like private lessons? I need something more thorough. More connected. I was hoping that some banter would start. But a music store will do what? |

A music store would help because people in music stores are generally more connected to the music industry than other places. So just go into a music store (like a store that sells instruments) and ask them if they know of anything like what you're talking about.

I went into the music store. They said that people online know more than they do.
They don't know but to offer private lessons. Ok so this guy he was talking about actually goes to some mansion where there are security guards. Some one many who can't go anywhere but has his own private jet and more security men then the nations leader. But he wants to get connected in the music industry, too. He's just really gifted. I think some indie movie people were looking for him, too that day. But I really don't want to pay for private lessons on an instrument I dont' like. And I probably couldn't afford him even if I wanted to learn the instrument. |
