Ok well I'm Johnny and I do vocals for From The Unknown, a local band out of the Clovis/Portales new mexico area. We're a post-hardcore/screamo band.
I've done vocals in two other bands but I've never had to have my own equiptment, and to be honest, I'm totally flippin clueless on what I need to get. And unless I order it online I have two places to go to for my set up, tarpleys or radioshack, and there isn't much variety anywhere so I'm forced to go online.
And also we have a friend who's gonna play synth and do dubstep mixes for us as well as a solo project. He needs a synth though.
I would really appreciate some advice on what type of equipment we should get?/:
Please & thank you, God bless!

Do you already have a PA and speakers? Mics? monitors? cables? mixer? vocal processor? If you really don't have any of this, you've got a long road ahead of you and I wouldn't recommend buying anything online until you've tried it in person, even if it means driving 100 miles to a Guitar Center or proper music store that has a pro audio type room where you can try out the above equipment. If that absolutely isn't an option, try and find a package deal that has everything you need, and the appropriate amount of power that will work well for the types of venues you'll be playing. Read a lot of reviews, and take the plunge when you feel confident.

We have nothing right now but a cheap wired mic that has a headphone jack at the end that we are plugging into a short stack fender amp. I really haven't the slightest clue what we should use because were gonna need 3 good mics total. Right now I have a wireless set with the distributor but they're a really cheap brand called pyle audio.(as far as price cheap I know they are but quality wise I have no clue) Ive also been toldto go with a wired mic by several people.?

I'm no vocalist and the one band I did vocals for supplied the equipment so I'm just as clueless as you are. Anyways, best of luck brother!
