What would be the theme song to your every day life?
Mine would have to be "Today" by Smashing Pumpkins.

A theme song! That's a toughy. It would probably be "Yo no me llamo Javier" by Los Toreros Muertos. That group is really excentric like I am, and I tend to be in a disproportionate number of instances where I am confused for somebody I'm not. (That song is about a guy that everybody confuses for somebody named Javier.)

That is a tough one has anybody written a song called fickle?!
It was a toss up between
On Your own - the verve
Heaven Knows i'm miserable now - the smiths
Scatterbrain - Radiohead except i'd change the lyrics to, everywhere i am scatterbrained it's pointless denying the fact!!!!!
and Who The Fuck? - PJ harvey
But i settled on Karma Police by the headsters.

For some reason The Flaming Lips' "Bad Days" popped into my mind. It's a great song with a nice groove, and it has a great message. I just pictured a theme song like playing everywhere I go, and I pictured myself walking down the sidewalk with a big happy smile on my face and this song playing.

Mine would probably be either "Disciples of the Lie" by Iced Earth or "Concerto in G per two violoncelli, first movement" by Vivaldi.

On second thought, "Orion" by Metallica would fit pretty well too.

That's a good one for me, too, the majority of the time... But I'm still sticking with my choice, because that Smiths song is just depressing, wheras I'm depressed and excentric.

I am going to bend space and time and not have one,but TWO theme songs!!!!!!

My second choice for a theme song would be "Climbing Up The Walls" by
Radiohead.
There! I did it!!!!

This is indeed an interesting thread topic. Maybe it's an unoriginal choice, but the epic-ness of Radiohead's Paranoid Android does it for me. God loves his children,YEAH!

...Although who can honestly say, hand on heart, that the Imperial March (from Star Wars) wouldn't be their theme tune? It'd certainly be mine. However, I did notice the thread said 'song' not 'tune'.

...nope, "Man of the World" should play whenever I walk into the room and that ending harmonic when I leave.

Faith No More - "Falling To Pieces"

Back and forth, I sway with the wind
Resolution slips away again
Right through my fingers, back into my heart
Where it's out of reach and it's in the dark

Sometimes I think I'm blind
Or maybe just paralyzed
Because the plot thickens every day
And the pieces of my puzzle keep crumblin' away
But I know, there's a picture beneath

Indecision clouds my vision
No one listens...

Because I'm somewhere in between
My love and my agony
You see, I'm somewhere in between
My life is falling to pieces
Somebody put me together

Layin' face down on the ground
My fingers in my ears to block the sound
My eyes shut tight to avoid the sight
Anticipating the end, losing the will to fight

Droplets of "yes" and "no"
In an ocean of "maybe"
From the bottom, it looks like a steep incline
From the top, another downhill slope of mine
But I know, the equilibrium's there

Indecision clouds my vision
No one listens

Because I'm somewhere in between
My love and my agony
You see, I'm somewhere in between
My life is falling to pieces
Somebody put me together

I'm going with 'What a Day' by Tanya Stephens. This song is SO what I'm about. Although since I stole that 'theme song' from a friend of mine, I'll also put down 'Shiny Happy People' by REM. I've been told that one captures me fairly well. That, and 'Walking on Sunshine' by Katrina and the Waves...LOL
